Lotusland acquires 22,265-Acre Guenoc Valley Property

Aug 31, 2016

As home to its inaugural project, Lotusland Investment has acquired an idyllic tract of land in Guenoc Valley that spans both Lake and Napa counties in California’s vaunted wine region. Comprising land that was formerly the country retreat of British actress Lillie Langtry, the 22,265-acre ranch is among the largest contiguous private properties in all of California. The Guenoc Valley property was acquired by Lotusland and a small group of minority investors without the use of any debt financing.

In order to properly activate the land, Lotusland has teamed up with development pioneers Adrian Zecha and Jonathan Breene. Mr. Zecha and Mr. Breene were selected for their track records of conceptualizing and building forward-thinking, ultra-luxe developments that deeply respect their natural environs.

As the founder of world renowned Aman Resorts and GHM Hotels, Adrian Zecha is celebrated for developing distinctive properties that redefine the destinations in which they are set. Mr. Zecha has created some of the most unique hotel properties around the world in destinations that include Bhutan, Bali, India, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, Maldives, Switzerland, Morocco, UAE, Greece, Italy, United Statesand the Caribbean.

Mr. Breene was responsible for the development and creation of The Setai brand. Since its flagship property opened in Miami’s South Beach, he has focused his efforts on expanding the Setai worldwide, traveling extensively to discover suitable locations for future projects and determining feasibility for each.

Under the auspices of two of hospitality’s greatest visionaries, the Guenoc Valley property is currently slated to include multiple boutique resorts, residential units, sporting facilities, and more.
